About Me

About Me
I am a psychotherapist in private practice and formerly worked as a hospital psychiatrist in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). I have extensive experience in treating psychological, emotional and relationship difficulties.

Qualifications and training

I qualified as a medical doctor at the National University of Rosario, Argentina. My further training includes:

·        Group analysis at the Institute of Group Analysis, London.

·        Psychodrama in Buenos Aires.

·        Psychoanalysis at the Institute of Psychoanalysis, London.

·        Family therapy in the UK.

·        Meditation in the UK and India.

I have also participated in multifamily therapy groups in Elche, Spain, and regularly contribute to their training activities.

Attachment theory and professional involvement

I trained in attachment theory and its clinical applications in London, studying directly with John Bowlby at the Tavistock Clinic. I have published extensively and lectured internationally on the subject.

I am a founding and active member of the International Attachment Network and of the journal Attachment and Human Development.

I have been a pioneer of attachment-based psychotherapy in the Spanish speaking world.

Integrative approach

In recent years, I have developed a strong interest in functional medicine and healthy lifestyles. I integrate my psychoanalytic and psychodynamic knowledge with my medical background and a holistic understanding of psychosocial and psychosomatic issues. I also have an interest in sexology.

Current practice and international teaching

I currently offer online individual therapy and clinical supervision for psychotherapists. I live between the UK and Spain and occasionally run in-person workshops on the clinical applications of attachment theory and related subjects.

I have led workshops and courses in the UK, India, China, most Western European countries and Latin America. I have also been associated with university programmes in several countries.

Languages

I speak English, Spanish and Italian
